The Marist Outdoor Adventure Program - "MOAP" - helps students become socially aware of outdoor adventures they experience. The Program engages students in outdoor experiences that will enhance their lives so that the outdoor environment will be aprt of their future.
MOAP uses community resources, volunteers and other outdoor establishments to make outdoor experiences available to all Marist students.
MOAP creates opportunities for all students, but especially for those who are not connected to the sports arenas. The Program challenges students physically, socially and emotionally to fulfill the student's need for growth. Marist Catholic High School creates opportunities that will expand the student's lifestyle by learning with direct experiences from the outdoor adventures.

MOAP adventures may include, but are not limited to, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, mountain bike trail riding, crabbing, and other adventures initiated by the group.
MOAP want to build relationships and connections among peers, Marist staff and the community and wants to recognize individual and group strength.
MOAP wants to educate students on the explanations of history and philosophy of all adventures and how to minimize the impact on the environment by teaching the principles of "Leave No Trace," a center of outdoor ethics.
We will have an outdoor adventure once-a-month or several, if students' involvement grows. The Program will have a pre-trip informational meeting before each adventure to discuss cost and schedules. Marist will strive to create a high quality program that can be used for future students to explore.
